Webinar: Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) by Dr Philip Blair MD: March 11

Past events

In this webinar, Dr. Philip Blair will talk about Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP), which is found in many nutritious herbs.

About the event

Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) is found in many nutritious herbs such as black pepper, cinnamon and hemp and is responsible for many of the benefits of those foods. FDA has even approved BCP as safe food flavoring. It has many of the effects reported for cannabidiol (CBD) because of overlapping receptor targets like CB2R. BCP acts against pain, allergy, epilepsy, high blood sugar and cholesterol. BCP has been studied in neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson’s, Alzheimers and stroke showing significant improvements. And, experiments indicate potential protection against atherosclerosis and heart attacks. Many find a calming effect and improvement in sleep as well. Finally, there is some evidence for BCP antiviral activity against COVID-19. This lecture will cover the basics of BCP including some key clinical targets and dosing of topical as well as a new oral formulation.
